Be Happy Boutique - Homecoming ‘22

Join us on select weekends in September and October for the Homecoming ‘22 edition of the Be Happy Boutique. Our goal is to eliminate the obstacle of cost associated with formal events that are also rites of passage for young adults. We have formal wear for all - dresses, suits, shirts, shoes, accessories and jewelry. Everything is FREE or Pay What Makes You Happy $0 or more.

If your high school prom doesn’t happen you can still dress up and have your own celebration. Everyday can be an occasion! Our heart is to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to experience the joy of special occasions

We have nearly 600 dresses in all sizes and styles as well as shoes and accessories just waiting for the right girl. This will be an ‘experience.’ Girls will be invited to schedule a dedicated time to shop. During their appointment, they’ll have a personal shopper who will be able to help them find the perfect dress bringing options back and forth to the dressing room, oohing and ahhing as they spin in front of a mirror. Gift cards for massages and other delights will be raffled off.

Join us as we practice kindness with intentionality this season. Kindness bridges the gaps left between religious beliefs, political beliefs, impact of disease and more. You can print the calendar of kindness and hang it on your refrigerator. You can take a screenshot and make it the wallpaper on your phone or computer. You can sign up for the weekly email and be reminded each week of a way that you can ripple out kindness to others.

Join us as we take World Kindness Day to the next level. World Kindness Day is Friday, November 13th, but we're celebrating for a week.  We'll send you an email each day, Monday through Friday, with fun Acts of Random Kindness to complete.

World Kindness Day is an internationally recognized holiday reminding us all of the importance of being kind to each other, ourselves and the world.  It began as a part of the World Kindness Movement in 1998 and focused on the power of kindness to bridge the gap between nations.

Kindness is what binds us together as humans, overcoming divides created by politics, race, religion, and gender.

For the entire month of September, 105 West Brewing in Castle Rock has named Rylie’s ARK their charity of the month.  We love that part of their mission is to bring together community and support local organizations in the process.  They never accept tips and gratuity for their staff, and instead collect those tips and pass them along to organizations that align with their mission.  This month, it’s Rylie’s ARK.  

We’ll be using all the money collected at 105 West in September to support our Brightening Birthdays campaign.  So if you find yourself looking for an opportunity to connect with others, enjoy a beverage, and do some good stop by 105 West anytime this month and you’ll be able to do all three!

Be sure to watch social media for dates that members of the Rylie’s ARK board, including Ziggy and I, will be there.  We’d love to visit with you, share a beer, and thank you for your continued support.

Each month, we are asking our Army of Angels to help us create Cards of Hope. These cards will be delivered to the 650 kids that are part of the Colorado Chapter of HopeKids. Each of these kids is fighting a life-threatening medical condition.

During these crazy pandemic times, this fight can feel even more lonely and heavy. Join us in creating some joy for these kids and their families. Make cards from scratch, buy blank cards and fill them with love, or a combination thereof.

Cards can be dropped off at the Guentensberger House anytime between now and the end of the month. We’d love for you to take pictures as you create these cards and tag us on social media #RyliesArmyofAngels, #RyliesARK #CardsofHope

We’ve collected a lot of the rocks that you all painted last month and are “planting” them on trails and paths throughout metro-Denver and beyond. This is just one way that we’re inspiring Jess during the ‘week of inspiration’ that is part of Vibin’ 4 Jess. We’ve got tons of rocks and can’t possibly plant them all. Send us an email to coordinate the pick up of decorated rocks and then plant them along local trains and paths this week.

Join us in supporting Jess as she fights a Stage 4 Glioblastoma. Jess lives in Parker, Colorado and is an inspiration to anyone who has met her. She’s been dealt some rough cards, but isn’t letting that bring her down. Run To Change Lives, is supporting Jess in this month’s virtual event designed to inspire Jess and get participants moving. Rylie’s ARK has a “team” and we’d love you to be part of it! Join as the “Army of Angels” team. Each week has a theme and we’ll be playing along. Additionally, Rylie’s ARK is sending the family on a memory making weekend later this month. Registration supports brain tissue research and gives us the chance to support Jess, her two kids and husband as a community.
